Geneva Motor Show 2012: Peugeot 4008

In July 2007 landed the Peugeot 4007, a model closely derived from the Outlander, Mitsubishi SUV signed. Today, Peugeot calls it a range below, redecorating the shortest Mitsubishi ASX with a few modifications. So is the Peugeot 4008.

Make no mistake, the 4008 does not replace the 4007, which is more expensive and bulky. Compared to the latter, the Peugeot 4008 has a wheelbase equivalent (2.67 m) but appears 30 cm shorter, with 4.34 m in length. Faced with the model from which it came, the ASX, the newcomer also shows 4 cm long and 3 cm wide. Dissimilarities due to the reworked exterior styling.

Grille, optical, shields, front and rear faces differ, as the design of the wheels or the glazing. The 4008 features a plush style more than his cousin in Japan. Indeed, Peugeot promises upscale compared to the ASX in the heart of the cabin.

As for engines and transmission finally, the device has the Peugeot 4-wheel drive engagement of the ASX (4x2 is strictly no model currently planned). Then the engine offers the ASX limited to the 4-cyl Diesel 1.8 Di-D 150 bhp 1.6 HDi Peugeot adds his 112ch. Note that in some markets, gas blocks 1.6 of 116 hp and 150 hp 2.0 may be offered.
